Justin has worked in various practices in Australia and New Zealand since qualifying in 2006 from Victoria University. He has gathered a whole variety of experiences along the way, from treating office workers, the elderly, to skiers and snowboarders and other sports injuries.
Justin discovered osteopathy when he suffered severe low back pain from a disc injury as a teen and found how beneficial osteopathic treatments were in his recovery. It convinced him to become an osteopath so he can help others in similar situations manage pain. He has a keen interest in treating trigger points, having spent 2 years researching it for his thesis.
Justin treats a wide variety of cases from neck pain to shoulder injuries to ankle rehabilitation. His recent area of interest is running related injuries. He uses a combination of soft tissue techniques, mobilisations and gentle spinal manipulations as well as exercise prescription to manage pain. He is also trained in dry needling should that be the best course of treatment.
Justin believes in working closely with each patient to tailor a management plan that is individualised, achievable and self initiated.
Outside of osteopathy, Justin is a clinical supervisor and lecturer, involved in training of remedial massage therapist. He is a snow addict, having spent five seasons in the ski fields of Canada and Australia as a Osteopath and Ski instructor fueling his interest in solid biomechanics in sports training.
He also loves travelling, watching football (Hawks and Melbourne Victory supporter), and photography.
